What is a Deluxe Workshop?
In the past, we’ve had people purchase a special membership and allowed them to go to a variety of activities that offer supplies to the participant. This year, many of those are rolled into our regular badge pricing, and so the few remaining workshops are those that are more in-depth and supply-driven. We have decided to allow individuals to pay for access to the deluxe workshop of their choice, in advance. Please note, these are not tickets, and cannot be transferred to other participants. We have a limited number of seats, and the supplies, and a workshop purchase reserves that seat and materials for your use. For more information, head over to the Registration page. Workshops can be signed up for along with registration, or independently afterwards.
Additional workshops will be added to the list as time goes on, and if you don’t see your favorite workshop from years past, don’t fret, it likely has simply been rolled into the general panel listing, so be sure to check for those updates as well.
List of Workshops
Basic Leatherworking Workshop
Learn the basics of leather working including setting snaps, rivets and dying by making a steampunk bracelet. Tools and materials provided.
Go Tournament
Players will pit their go skills against each other for a chance to win a prize package valued at $100, which will include their own go board and set of go stones. This tournament is a deluxe workshop, so it does require a fee to enter. Our resident Go expert will be on hand to help players decide, if they are interested in entering.
Lolita Tea Party
Join us for LouisANIME’s Lolita Tea! A fine social event for Lolita’s and fans of Lolita fashion. Lolita attire (or something semi-formal if you don’t have anything lolita) is strongly encouraged.
Tea Tasting
Sample the flavorful world of Tea in this Tea Tasting panel! Get to experience the diverse array of tastes and aromas, while learning about Tea, it’s history, medicinal properties, and how it’s made. Paper cups are provided, but everyone is encouraged to bring their own tea cup to the party.
